On April 26, 2017, 52-year-old Bobby Jordan of Land O' Lakes, Florida, was shot and killed on Hanson Road after an argument with 39-year-old Jonathan Cobb. The dispute escalated and ended with Cobb fatally shooting Jordan. The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office responded, but Cobb had fled the scene and became the subject of a manhunt across Pasco, Pinellas, and Hernando counties.

Authorities issued a warrant charging Cobb with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was located the next morning in the parking lot of a Hampton Inn in Hernando County and taken into custody without incident.
