On February 6, 2017, 34-year-old Tarence Jackson was found shot to death at 10525 County Road 727 in Webster, Florida. Sumter County deputies responded to a call at 12:53 a.m. and discovered Jackson with multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting occurred shortly after a Super Bowl party at that address.
Investigators say Jackson had been playing cards with several others after the game when an argument broke out between him and 26-year-old William Fitzgerald Seward II, also known as Swill-Will. The altercation reportedly escalated and Seward shot Jackson multiple times before fleeing. A murder warrant was issued for Seward, who surrendered to the Sumter County Jail on February 16, 2017, and was charged with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Police sought additional witnesses to clarify what led to the shooting. Did anyone at that Super Bowl gathering witness the argument or the moments immediately afterward?
