Owen Frazier was 20 when he was shot and killed on January 4, 2017, in Panama City, Florida, after leaving his job at the Family Service Agency. He had been picked up by a friend and driven to 943 Magnolia Avenue to meet Marcus Jamal Larry. Investigators tied the shooting to a dispute over a baggie of marijuana.
Frazier had just returned to classes at Gulf Coast State College the day before the shooting and had told a supervisor he felt he was being stalked, without providing details. His mother, Shelley Frazier, remembered him as a social person affected by community violence and said his life should not be defined by how he died. Claude Trey Cook later pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and received a lengthy prison sentence; Datrion Tyrese Hand and Marcus Jamal Larry testified against Cook and received prison terms for their roles.
If anyone knew Owen, his routines, or what happened at 943 Magnolia Avenue on January 4, 2017, please share information.
