Has anyone else been thinking about the role that environment played in this tragedy? Living in a place like the Lakmar Motel, where multiple families and individuals reside in close quarters, can create situations where personal items—like firearms—are not as secure as they should be. It's incredibly tragic that Kyler had to grow up in such an environment that ultimately led to this horrific accident. I can't stop thinking about how different things might have been if those boys had more guidance or education regarding firearms. It's not just about saying they shouldn't have touched it; it's about recognizing that many young people in similar situations might not fully grasp the gravity of handling something as dangerous as a shotgun. While it's hopeful to expect that charges won't be severe, it still doesn't bring Kyler back. My thoughts are with Sandra and everyone who knew him. This should truly be a wake-up call for communities to implement stricter measures for firearm safety and proper education, especially in environments where access might be too easy for impressionable teens.
