Anthony Holder, a 28-year-old African American man, was shot and killed in the Harlem Gardens community of Clewiston, Florida, on November 22, 2016. He was found lying on the ground with gunshot wounds around 11:00 p.m.; deputies attempted CPR but could not save him. Four other people were wounded in nearby shootings the same night.

The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office investigation led to several arrests. Gerald Tyrone Edwards, 26, and Winston Trotman, 27, were jailed on charges related to committing acts that could cause death; they were not charged directly with Holder’s death. A 20-year-old man named Johan Holder, not related to Anthony Holder, was later charged with premeditated murder, a first-degree capital felony, after witness statements and interviews placed him at the scene and implicated him in the shooting.

What did anyone in Harlem Gardens see or hear that night that might help clarify how the shootings unfolded?
