Serge Pierre Dumas, also known by his stage name Illy-Illz, was 28 when he was killed on March 19, 2016, during a Spring Break party in Plantation, Florida. The gathering of about 400 people was held in a five-bedroom, two-story house in the 12000 block of Northwest Fourth Court. Gunfire erupted inside the house; Dumas died and four others — three women and one man — were wounded and taken to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.

Plantation police were already at the scene for noise and parking complaints when the shooting began. The shooter fled during the chaos. Officers from Plantation and Sunrise questioned hundreds of attendees but obtained no substantial information, and investigators described witnesses as largely uncooperative. Dumas was remembered as a promising hip-hop artist and left behind a 15-month-old son.

Is anyone who attended that party or who knew Illy-Illz willing to share what they remember?
