Scott Tomlinson, 51, was found dead in his Thonotosassa, Florida, home on August 25, 2015, the victim of multiple gunshot wounds. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting occurred during a domestic dispute with his older brother, 53-year-old Todd Tomlinson. Deputies responded to a 911 call about a disturbance at the Smoken Gun Lane residence and encountered Todd in the driveway armed with a handgun. After Todd allegedly raised the weapon toward deputies, they fired and killed him at the scene.
No independent witnesses to the shooting between the brothers have been identified, and the precise events inside the house remain unclear. Authorities have identified Todd as the primary suspect in Scott’s death. The Tomlinson brothers co-owned Tomlinson Brothers Plastering Inc. and were described by neighbors as well-known local businessmen; the violence surprised people who recalled occasional arguments but not this outcome.
Does anyone who knew the Tomlinsons or was in that neighborhood that day have information that could clarify what happened inside the house?
