Has anyone else been following the heartbreaking story of Justin Fabien? I was just thinking about how the community must be rallying around his family right now. It’s one thing to hear about these cases on the news, but when it happens to someone so young and in your neighborhood, it really hits home. I can only imagine how much support they need not just now, but long into the future. This case has really opened my eyes to how prevalent gun violence is among young people and how important it is to find ways to prevent youth violence. It’s also been interesting to see how the legal system is handling Jamari Lamon Murray-Barnes being charged as an adult. I wonder what kind of message this sends to other teens in Bradenton. Do you guys think it will actually deter future violence? It's such a complicated situation, and I honestly struggle to understand how someone so young could be involved in something like this. My thoughts are with both families as they navigate this incredibly complex and painful journey.
