Hayden Clyde Randolph, 38, of Miramar, Florida, was shot to death on August 3, 2015, after a verbal argument at the home of 36-year-old Tesfa Nkosi Jawara Wright in Miramar. Police say Wright had traveled to West Park to buy cannabis, brought Randolph back to his house, and the two got into a confrontation that escalated.

Wright initially told police Randolph had tried to rob him and that he shot in self-defense, but detectives say his statements contained inconsistencies and he later acknowledged the shooting grew out of the argument. Authorities say Wright dragged Randolph’s body back inside the house and tried to clean the scene with bleach. Wright was arrested and charged with premeditated murder and false imprisonment and was ordered held without bond.
