Randy Virgil Jr., a 23-year-old resident of Pahokee, Florida, was fatally shot during an early-morning altercation on July 5, 2015, in the parking lot of the Pahokee Save-A-Lot. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office identified Virgil as the victim; he was airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach and pronounced dead.
Reports say the fight involved several people, including patrons from the nearby nightclub Club Coco, and that Virgil was running from the altercation when he was shot. Investigators initially faced difficulty because no witnesses were cooperating at the scene, though the sheriff’s office continued to pursue leads and gather evidence.
If anyone witnessed the events that night or has information that was not reported to investigators, please come forward to assist the ongoing inquiry.
