I've been following the case of Roy Lee Simmons, and it's deeply unsettling that it remains unsolved. My heart goes out to his family and friends who are still seeking answers. What's been on my mind lately is the role that surveillance cameras in the area might have played—or could play—in solving this case. Given the location at the intersection of Old Bainbridge Road and Fourth Avenue, you'd think there might be cameras from local businesses or traffic cams that could have captured something that early morning. Has anyone heard if the police mentioned checking for any footage? Sometimes these small details can make a world of difference, and I'm just hoping they thoroughly explored every angle (no pun intended) in their investigation. If anyone has more info on this or thoughts about the state of surveillance in that area around 2015, I'd love to hear about it. Let's keep this discussion going and maybe find something that sparks a new lead!
I was thinking about the role of community in cases like Roy Lee Simmons’. It must be incredibly challenging for the police to work with so little to go on, especially without any eyewitnesses stepping forward. What really stands out to me is the time of the shooting—around 4:30 a.m. Even though it was early, you’d think someone might have seen or heard something else that could help. How frustrating it must be for Roy's loved ones to know that people nearby might unknowingly hold the piece of the puzzle that solves the case. I really feel for Roy’s family; imagining the lack of closure they must be facing after all this time is tough. It's important that we encourage anyone who might know something, even a small detail, to come forward and help. This community has a part to play here, and it could make all the difference.
