Billy Lee McDaniel, 44, died after being shot at the Rock Harley Saloon in Land O’ Lakes, Florida, on March 1, 2015. According to reports, a confrontation involving members of the Southern Sons motorcycle club escalated during the evening. As a prank, bottles and cups were reportedly thrown into a garbage can placed over McDaniel’s head. Jeffrey Camarda, a member of the club, then produced a gun and fired at the garbage can; McDaniel was struck in the head and later airlifted to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, where he died early the next morning.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office investigated and arrested Camarda; he was charged with manslaughter. McDaniel’s wife Heather and their three children survived him, and a memorial fund was set up to assist the family. Few details are public about what led to the confrontation and the exact sequence of events inside the saloon.

Did anyone who was at the Rock Harley Saloon that night or who knew Billy come forward with information about the confrontation?
