Shane Christopher Newland, 42, was one of three men found murdered in a mobile home in the Moon Lake area of New Port Richey, Florida, on February 9, 2015. Born May 15, 1972, in Springfield, Ohio, he had lived in Florida since 1980 and was remembered as a talented musician and artist with a warm sense of humor. He is survived by daughters Amanda and Liberty Newland and other family members.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office identified two suspects in the triple homicide. One of those suspects, Christopher Lee Duncan, was already in jail and was facing additional charges tied to the murders; he was also accused of attempting to have a surviving victim killed. The community was shaken by the brutal killings and the investigation and legal proceedings that followed.
