Billy Paul Seaver, 39, of Fort McCoy, Florida, was shot and killed on the night of February 8, 2015. Deputies found Seaver on the hallway floor of his home at 13536 NE 165th Lane, bleeding from a chest wound; he had stepped outside after a knock at the door because the front porch light failed to work, then walked back inside and collapsed. Others in the house called 911 but Seaver later died of his injuries.
Investigators found the porch light bulb had been removed; a fingerprint lifted from that bulb matched Levi Dibble-Hemm, a 17-year-old from Citra who was known to Seaver. A grand jury indicted Dibble-Hemm on a first-degree murder charge and the State Attorney is pursuing the case; he is to be tried as an adult. The handgun used in the shooting has not been recovered.
Anyone who knew Seaver, his family, or saw activity near 13536 NE 165th Lane on February 8, 2015, is asked to come forward with information.
