Jack Prophete, 28, was shot and killed on January 17, 2015, in Pine Hills, Florida. Deputies responded after reports of gunfire and found Prophete in the driveway of a Daly Street home where he did not live. He was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center but died of his injuries; the Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed his identity and noted he had just turned 28 a few days earlier.

Authorities did not release any information about suspects and no arrests were announced at the time. Investigators described the case as open and asked anyone with information to come forward. The fact he was found at a location where he did not reside remains a key unresolved detail in the investigation.

If anyone knew Jack or saw activity on Daly Street that night, please share what you know with investigators.
