I've been reading a lot about Denise Ella Potter's involvement in this tragic case, and what strikes me is her decision to intervene when she heard something was wrong. Denise seemed like the kind of neighbor and friend anyone would be lucky to have. She stepped in out of concern for Amber and didn't hesitate to check on the situation, which speaks volumes about her character. It's hard to wrap my head around such a selfless act leading to this devastating outcome. Does anyone know if there have been any local efforts or memorials in Bradenton to honor Denise and her bravery? I feel like sharing more about people like her can really highlight how senseless this act of violence was and serve to remind us of the good side of humanity. My heart goes out to everyone who loved Denise, Amber, and Reverend Battle; they were all taken too soon.
