On October 20, 2014, 22-year-old Omar Khan was shot multiple times and later died from his wounds after being airlifted from a Coral Springs, Florida, hospital. The shooting happened in the parking lot of a Bank of America; witnesses reported hearing gunfire and seeing a white SUV at the scene. Khan drove himself to a nearby home and called 911 before being taken to hospital.
Police detained the two occupants of the white SUV, identified as Robert Morris, 23, and Roderick Dalton, 20. Both were arrested and charged in connection with Khan’s death: Morris with second-degree murder and weapons violations, and Dalton as an accessory to second-degree murder. Investigators recovered the firearm used in the shooting and served search warrants as they examined evidence. Reports say the three knew one another and the shooting may have been related to narcotics.
If anyone has information about Khan, the white SUV, or what led up to the shooting, please share what is known.
