Yolanda Samaniego, a 51-year-old Hispanic woman, was found dead on September 14, 2014, in Miami-Dade, Florida. Her body was discovered burned and decapitated in an open field near NW 64th Street and NW 82nd Avenue after Miami-Dade Fire Rescue extinguished what was thought to be a small brush fire.

Investigators arrested 30-year-old co-worker Marvin Rivera-Montalvo. He initially contacted police with information and at first implicated Samaniego’s husband, but later confessed to involvement. Rivera-Montalvo said he lured Samaniego into his vehicle, that another person shot her, and that he then drove to a nearby hotel to prepare for disposal before leaving her in the field and setting the body on fire. He was charged with first-degree murder. Reports indicate he had planned the killing with other unidentified individuals; motive and the identities of those others were unclear.

Does anyone have information about Samaniego, her movements that day, or knowledge of others who may have been involved?
