Kello Bonhomme, 40, was found fatally shot on September 9, 2014, on Salisbury Street near Kenilworth Boulevard in Port Charlotte, Florida. Passers-by discovered his body and police opened an immediate investigation into the shooting.
In the days after the discovery, two men were arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with Bonhomme’s death: Dwayne Johnson and Freddie Campbell. At the time of these reports Johnson was on trial for second-degree murder and testimony was still being presented; Campbell had not yet testified.
The case remains an active legal matter and the community continues to look for a resolution that will bring closure. If anyone witnessed activity on Salisbury Street that day or has information about the shooting, please come forward.
