Ron Williams, 32, was killed on August 5, 2014, at the Misty Oaks apartments in Orange County’s Pine Hills area. Court documents link his death to a larger spree of violence that began with a shooting after an argument at an apartment on Magnolia Point Circle.
According to those documents, James Stewart shot his girlfriend during the initial dispute. Stewart and an accomplice, David Lopez, then sought to eliminate witnesses. Amanda Goodman and Amanda Johnson were taken to the Misty Oaks apartments, where Lopez, acting on Stewart’s orders, shot them and Ron Williams. Williams and Johnson died; Goodman survived.
Both Stewart and Lopez were arrested. Stewart was taken after a 10-hour standoff and charged with attempted first-degree murder; Lopez was captured in North Carolina and charged with second-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. Both were held without bail and faced potential life sentences.
Did anyone in Pine Hills know Ron Williams or have information about the events that night?
