Michelle Wilcox was 33 and a teacher from Miami-Dade County when she was shot and killed on March 12, 2014, near a preschool in northwest Miami-Dade. As Michelle attempted to flee, Antonio pursued her and shot her, leaving her body in a grassy area near the preschool; the school went into lockdown and parents were called to pick up their children early.

Antonio Wilcox, 41 at the time, was arrested, taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and held without bond; he was charged with second-degree murder and reportedly confessed during police questioning.
