Dylan McKelvey, an 18-year-old from Indiantown, Florida, was found dead in a field in Indiantown on March 5, 2014. His body showed multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body; the medical examiner described the killing as execution-style. The case was the first homicide reported in Martin County that year.

Investigators arrested 26-year-old Trayvon D. Jackson, known as Lil Su Rabbit, during the inquiry. Jackson was questioned, confessed to shooting Dylan after an argument, and was charged with first-degree murder; he was held in the Martin County Jail without bail. Jackson had been released from prison a few weeks earlier after serving time for drug offenses.

Reports say Jackson initially pleaded not guilty but later entered a no contest plea to second-degree murder as part of a plea agreement and received a 25-year sentence. Dylan’s lifestyle was noted in reports as involving gold teeth and gang-related tattoos, a detail discussed during the investigation.

Did anyone who knew Dylan or who was in Indiantown around March 2014 see anything that could help explain what led to this killing?
