Krystal Caruso, 23, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, died on February 20, 2013, from a gunshot wound sustained at her home on Swan Parkway West. A friend who witnessed the event said Krystal had complained previously that the gun’s trigger was difficult to pull and that the weapon had jammed, which may have contributed to the accidental discharge.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded shortly after 10 a.m. and confirmed her death. Investigators concluded the shooting was accidental, no foul play was suspected, and there were no arrests or legal proceedings connected to the death.
