Tracey Robin Love, 29, was found shortly after midnight on November 9, 2013, inside a vehicle on North Athol Avenue in Baltimore with multiple gunshot wounds to the head. A second man in the car survived a stomach gunshot wound.
Love had been a high-ranking member of a drug trafficking organization known as Special. He and his half-brother, Tamall Parker, were implicated in the 2004 killing of James Wise after Wise allegedly robbed their operation; a Baltimore jury did not convict them. Facing lengthy federal drug charges, Love and his brother began cooperating with authorities in 2009. Love’s testimony in federal court helped secure life sentences for key members of Special, and he received a significantly reduced sentence before his release in December 2011.
Because Love had acted as a government witness against violent associates, his murder is widely believed to be retaliation for that cooperation. No arrests, suspects, or charges have been publicly announced and the case remains unsolved.
If anyone knew Tracey, his movements, or who might have targeted him after his cooperation, please share what is known.
