Alfred William Terrinoni was a 38-year-old Coral Gables police officer who was shot and killed on October 12, 1980, while working an off-duty security job at a restaurant in the Dadeland Shopping Center. He identified himself as an officer and attempted to stop the robbery but was shot and killed.

Two of the suspects were arrested, convicted and sentenced to life in prison; one of those later was paroled on May 15, 2008. Terrinoni had served the department for 16 years. A portion of Dadeland Boulevard was dedicated as Sergeant Alfred W. Terrinoni Boulevard in his honor.

If anyone has recollections of the scene at Dadeland Shopping Center that night or knew Officer Terrinoni, please share what you know.
