Vivian Villareal was 41 when she was found dead in her Key West home on the morning of November 18, 1984. Authorities concluded her death was not from natural causes and investigators reported multiple injuries consistent with foul play, prompting a homicide investigation by the Key West Police Department.
Several suspects were identified during the initial probe, but no arrests were made, and investigators cited a lack of direct evidence tying anyone to the crime. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit later became involved as the investigation continued, and the case drew repeated local media attention over the years.
Despite efforts to reopen the inquiry and pursue new leads, the case remained unsolved and open, with no significant public breakthroughs reported. If anyone knew Vivian, her movements in Key West around November 18, 1984, or has information that could help, please come forward.
