Jeffery Jerome Bell, 59, was found dead at his Pearl Street home in East Dublin, Georgia, on November 13, 2022, after officers conducting a welfare check discovered he had been shot once in the chest. He was a father of four and grandfather to thirteen, described by his daughter as an angel on earth who spent over four decades working for a local realty company and helped young people in his neighborhood despite a physical disability.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation opened the inquiry and investigators determined Bell was killed during a home invasion allegedly carried out by several individuals tied to the Crips. In March 2023 authorities arrested five people from East Dublin: 21-year-old Elijah Inman, 20-year-old Jamal Stewart, and three juveniles, 16-year-old Nazorian Taylor, 16-year-old Damarion Page, and 15-year-old Brantley Johnson, Jr. They face charges including malice murder, felony murder, armed robbery, home invasion, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and multiple counts under the state’s gang and terrorism prevention act. The investigation remained active and authorities asked anyone with information to come forward.

Did anyone in the community know Mr. Bell’s routines or have information about the November 13 home invasion?
