A dispute between neighbors in Valdosta, Georgia, ended in homicide on the night of October 6, 2022. Police responded at 10:47 p.m. to The Gables apartment complex on North St. Augustine Road after multiple 911 calls about a person being shot. Bystanders and EMS attempted life-saving measures for 36-year-old Timothy Harrison, who had an apparent gunshot wound to his chest; he was later pronounced dead at South Georgia Medical Center.

Investigators determined Harrison had argued with two neighbors he knew, and that one of the neighbors allegedly produced a firearm and shot him. Two Valdosta men were identified and arrested without incident: Jeremiah Dyson, 26, and Cameron Loveday, 27. Both were charged with felony murder, felony aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and were later indicted by a Lowndes County grand jury in December 2022.
