On the night of July 22, 2022, 55-year-old Pansy Fulton was shot and killed inside a residence on Euclid Circle in Valdosta, Georgia. Fulton, an African American mother and grandmother remembered for her cooking and lively personality, was found with an apparent gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers arrived after a 911 call around 10:33 p.m. reporting that a relative said a man had confessed to killing his girlfriend. They detained 70-year-old George Tucker, an African American man who was in a relationship with Fulton, walking out of the home without incident. Detectives say a verbal argument escalated, Tucker retrieved a firearm and shot Fulton. Tucker was arrested at the scene and charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

What information can anyone provide about Pansy Fulton’s life in Valdosta or the circumstances that night?
