Short dispute outside a Savannah residence turned deadly in the early hours of July 19, 2022. Around 12:15 a.m. near East 54th and Live Oak streets, 49-year-old Shawn Passmore and 25-year-old Cannon Phillips were found with gunshot wounds and taken to Memorial Medical Center. Passmore died of his wounds at the hospital; Phillips was treated for serious injuries.

Savannah Police say the shooting grew out of a dispute between people who knew one another.
