A domestic dispute in Vidalia, Georgia, on January 6, 2022, ended in a double homicide at a home on East 5th Street. Officers responding to reports of a disturbance and then a shooting found 24-year-old Latorey Denise Harden dead and her 42-year-old mother, Pamela Harden, critically wounded. Pamela was taken to a hospital in Savannah but later died of her injuries. The shooter left in Pamela Harden’s blue 2021 Nissan Rogue.
Investigators identified 27-year-old Joshua Magual Sanders of Birmingham, Alabama, as a suspect. He was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in Flagstaff, Arizona, on January 12, 2022, after being located getting off a bus and was returned to Georgia. A Toombs County grand jury later indicted Sanders on multiple counts including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and cruelty to a child; Latorey’s young child was present during the crimes.
