Charles Stephen Holmberg, 38, was found dead inside his vehicle at the Super 8 Hotel on US-441 in Dublin, Georgia, in the early morning hours of Christmas Day, 2021. Authorities determined he suffered a fatal gunshot wound. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation assisted the Dublin Police Department and reported the investigation focused on someone with a personal connection to Holmberg.

Investigators identified that Holmberg was in a relationship with 29-year-old Alyssa Danielle Wild of East Dublin. On December 27, 2021, Wild was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Franklin, Tennessee, and charged with Holmberg’s murder; she was being held in the Williamson County Jail and officials said additional charges were pending.

Anyone who knew Holmberg, his movements in Dublin on December 24–25, 2021, or who has information about his relationship with Alyssa Wild is asked to come forward.
