Amarian Robinson was 16 when he was shot and killed in Savannah, Georgia, on the evening of December 6, 2021. The shooting took place at the Chatham City Apartments on Augusta Road after a dispute that had begun weeks earlier; that earlier altercation reportedly involved Amarian and the brother of Jamary Isaiah Brown.
Prosecutors later described the December confrontation as retaliation. Jamary Isaiah Brown, 17 at the time, allegedly confronted Amarian at the apartment complex and shot him more than a dozen times. Amarian was taken to a nearby hospital but died of his injuries. Four days after the shooting, Brown turned himself in and was identified by law enforcement as the primary suspect.
Brown was later convicted of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, first-degree cruelty to children, and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and received a life sentence with parole eligibility plus additional consecutive terms for the other convictions.
Did anyone in the area know Amarian or witness tension between him and the other teens involved?
