Levoy Brown, 30, was shot to death inside his sister’s Covington, Georgia, home on Windcrest Drive on the night of October 27, 2021. He was at the residence of Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputy Shakeema Brown Jackson when both were found dead by responding Newton County deputies around 10:30 p.m. The scene was initially reported as a home invasion.

Shakeema’s husband, Jaquavia Jackson, who was at the house, told investigators two unknown men had entered and committed the killings. Neighbor security camera footage later showed no sign of intruders entering or leaving the property near the time of the murders, and investigators developed leads that pointed suspicion at Jaquavia Jackson. Two days after the shootings, he was arrested and charged in connection with the deaths.

According to prosecutors, the alleged motive was an effort to conceal Jaquavia’s infidelity and pending court proceedings related to paternity claims that would have come to light the morning after the killings. The complaint says the defendant shot Shakeema as she sat on the couch, then shot Levoy, and staged a gunshot to support a false home-invasion narrative.

Did anyone in the Covington area see or hear anything unusual that night, or know Levoy’s movements before he arrived at his sister’s home?
