Dominique Bowers, 37, was found dead in her Warner Robins, Georgia, home in the late summer of 2021, just two weeks before her planned wedding. On the afternoon of August 13, police responded to a shots-fired call at a residence on Adirondac Way. Officers discovered Bowers inside the home with a fatal gunshot wound.

A 13-year-old boy — her son — was taken into custody less than a mile away on Old Perry Road and was later charged with murder and aggravated assault. The juvenile made his first court appearance in Houston County Superior Court and was ordered held at the Crisp County Youth Detention Center. Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the killing.

Bowers was a U.S. Navy veteran originally from New York who had worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation after her service. If anyone knew Dominique or has information about what happened on August 13, please come forward.
