Travis Michael Lodato, 31, of Newnan, Georgia, was murdered on August 8, 2021, and his body was recovered from West Point Lake in LaGrange on August 10, 2021. Lodato and his 46-year-old roommate Marcus Lee Caswell Jr. went to the LaGrange home of an acquaintance, Joshua Wayne Nutt, to collect a debt; during the visit Nutt opened fire, killing both men. Lodato was shot five times, including a fatal wound to the head; Caswell was shot once at the base of the skull.

After the killings, Nutt allegedly removed jewelry and other items from the victims, spray-painted Lodato’s motorcycle and planned a break-in at the men’s Newnan home. The day after the murders, Nutt and an accomplice transported the bodies to West Point Lake and discarded them; Caswell’s body was found August 9 and Lodato’s August 10. Investigators later found the victims’ motorcycles hidden in a trailer at Nutt’s residence and pools of blood in the crawlspace; Nutt was chased and taken into custody after leading deputies on a pursuit.

Nutt was arrested and charged in the deaths of Lodato and Caswell. Nutt’s girlfriend, Abbrianna Marie Williams, was also indicted on charges of murder and robbery in connection with the case. If anyone knew Travis, his movements that week, or saw his motorcycle after August 8, please share what was seen.
