A house party in Tifton, Georgia, on the night of Friday, July 9, 2021, ended in a deadly shooting. Deputies responded to a residence in the 4800 block of Union Road and found multiple people shot. Twenty-three-year-old Jada Golson was wounded, taken to a local hospital, and pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Two other partygoers, 31-year-old Chadwick Sears and 20-year-old Tenaya Ladale Hill, were injured and treated at the hospital.

Banks was charged with one count of felony murder and three counts of aggravated assault and was being held at the Crisp County Jail. The investigation remained active as authorities continued to piece together events from that night.
