On April 2, 2021, 25-year-old Kenneth Wendell Snead Jr. was shot and fatally wounded during an altercation at the Blossom Hill Estates Apartments on Mercer University Drive in Macon, Georgia. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the incident occurred around 11:51 a.m.; Snead was taken to the Medical Center, Atrium Health Navicent and died in the emergency room.

Investigators identified 17-year-old Robert James Ottman Jr., reported to be Snead’s half-brother, as a person of interest and appealed for information about his whereabouts. Authorities noted Ottman had been released on bond a month earlier on two counts of armed robbery.

What did anyone in the area see that morning at Blossom Hill Estates, or who can help explain what led to the altercation?
