In the pre-dawn hours of January 22, 2021, Lynnette Wynn, 62, and her husband Frank Wynn, 63, were found fatally shot in their home in northern McIntosh County, Georgia. Gunfire also woke their other son, who was sleeping in the residence. Authorities described the scene as a family tragedy that unfolded in the quiet Darien community.

Investigators quickly named the couple’s 25-year-old son, Jordan Jarrod Wynn, as the primary suspect. Deputies from McIntosh, Long, and Liberty counties searched nearby woods amid concerns he might flee toward Savannah or Statesboro. Jordan Wynn was located the same night about half a mile from the home, hiding in a wooded area; he was unarmed and did not resist arrest. He was charged with two counts of murder. Autopsies were assigned to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab to determine formal causes of death.

If anyone in the area knew the Wynns or has information about the events that night, please come forward.
