Ahmed Kadhim, 30, was shot inside his Norcross, Georgia apartment in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 8, 2020. He called Gwinnett County police around 2 a.m. to report the shooting at the Estates at 1700 complex on Tree House Parkway. Officers found him with a gunshot wound, began CPR, and he was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Gwinnett County Homicide Unit opened an investigation, canvassing the area and seeking witnesses. No motive was known in the initial reports and no suspects had been identified or arrested. The case was described as an active, open homicide investigation.
