A late-night crime spree in Newnan, Georgia, left six people dead in early November 2020, including 32-year-old Tangela Molden. On November 8 police found Molden, Monte James Ballard, 58, and Michael Lang, 37, shot multiple times in a room at the Motel 6 on Herring Road; investigators believe they had been dead for more than 48 hours before discovery.

Authorities traced a series of shootings that began November 5 with a reported home invasion and theft of firearms. Willie Edward Bussie III and Kevin Duane Robbins were found shot on East Broad Street that day. Two days later Warner Mandrel Parks was killed in a parking lot on Dowdell Street. A gray Ford Crown Victoria seen by witnesses led police to 38-year-old Nicholas Martez Nelson of Newnan, who was arrested and later charged in connection with Parks and then with all six homicides after physical evidence at the motel linked the victims.

Investigators said Nelson had some form of relationship with each victim; no specific motive was released. Anyone with information about Tangela Molden or the other victims is asked to come forward.
