Jarvis Knight, 28, was shot in the head at a house party on Mikado Avenue in Macon, Georgia, late the night of July 31, 2020. Witnesses at the gathering reported that an individual began shooting; Knight was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and died on the afternoon of August 1, 2020. No other injuries were reported from the party.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office opened a homicide investigation. Authorities later identified a suspect and on the evening of August 19, 2020, deputies served a murder warrant on 22-year-old Ryshek Jamar Jackson, who was already in the Bibb County jail on unrelated charges; Jackson was charged with Knight’s murder.
