Sybil Dennis, 79, was found dead at her home on Chafin Drive in Manchester, Georgia on July 10, 2020, alongside her husband, 87-year-old Horace Vedell Dennis, and their 53-year-old son, Thomas Randall Dennis. A family member discovered the three and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation took the lead. Authorities determined all three died from apparent gunshot wounds and the case has been treated as a homicide investigation.

Sybil was originally from London, England, and worked as a radio news reporter for WRCG-AM in Columbus, Georgia; she was remembered for a vibrant personality. Autopsies were performed by the GBI as part of evidence gathering. No arrests or suspects have been announced and the investigation remains open.
