On the evening of June 28, 2020, 28-year-old Kristopher B. ONeal was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Walmart in Dublin, Georgia. He had been at the store to drop off an employee when an altercation occurred; ONeal suffered several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
ONeal was a father; his family says he was devoted to his daughters and that a third child was expected after his death. He worked at the West Rock Paper Mill and was remembered by his mother, Carolyn ONeal, as a big-hearted go-to guy who loved his family and the Los Angeles Lakers. A Walmart employee, Jaron Darrisaw, was arrested and charged in connection with the killing. Darrisaw’s first Laurens County Superior Court trial ended in a mistrial in May 2024 when the jury could not reach a verdict; as of late May 2025 the family was still awaiting a new trial date.
Does anyone have information about the shooting or knew Kristopher and can share memories that might help the family?
