Jon David-Russell Johnson, 41, was fatally shot after arriving at a Highway 92 convenience store in Acworth, Georgia, with a single gunshot wound to his torso on the night of June 26, 2020. He collapsed inside the store and was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he died. Investigators located the shooting scene on the sidewalk outside the Hamilton Inn on Wade Green Road; Johnson had been staying at that nearby inn.

About nine ounces of methamphetamine were found in Johnson’s hotel room, and investigators said the discovery shifted the inquiry toward a possible drug-related motive. Two women, 30-year-old Krystal Dianna Campbell and 33-year-old Shene Lucretia Kirk, were named as persons of interest; Campbell’s vehicle was found abandoned in Gordon County the day after the shooting, and Kirk was later taken into custody on a parole violation warrant.

Surveillance images led authorities to identify two male suspects. Nineteen-year-old David Solano of Roswell surrendered to detectives the day after the images were released, and 21-year-old Kevin Saucedo of Alpharetta was arrested in DeKalb County the same day; both were charged with conspiracy to commit murder and held at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center. The investigation was described as ongoing and other suspects had not been ruled out.

Did anyone who knew Jon Johnson or who was in the Acworth area on June 26, 2020, notice anything that could help investigators?
