Michael Phillip Peguese, 32, was killed by gunfire on June 25, 2020, on Oak Street in Savannah, Georgia. The Garden City Police Department investigated the fatal shooting that summer.
Authorities identified Isaiah Goodman as a suspect and arrested him on multiple serious charges tied to Peguese’s death, including several counts of murder. Goodman’s case went to trial; the jury was unable to reach unanimous decisions on five of seven counts, including the murder charges, and the judge declared a mistrial on those counts. The jury did convict Goodman of fleeing and eluding and acquitted him on an aggravated battery count. Goodman was also facing separate charges in a dog-fighting case.
Was anyone in the Savannah area familiar with Michael Peguese or his routine around Oak Street in June 2020?
