A gathering of acquaintances at a home in the 500 block of Alamo Street in Savannah turned deadly shortly after midnight on June 1, 2020. Police found 54-year-old Rodger Donaldson and 51-year-old Angela Scott with gunshot wounds; Donaldson died at a nearby hospital and Scott was reported in stable condition.

Savannah Police Homicide investigators say an altercation among people who knew one another at the Alamo Street residence escalated into gunfire.
