A confrontation in Milledgeville, Georgia, on the evening of March 30, 2020, left 34-year-old Aaron Skinner dead. Deputies were called to a Fox Hill Road residence at about 9:30 p.m. after a report of a shooting. Skinner was found fatally wounded at the scene.

The homeowner, 44-year-old Bobby Wood, told investigators that Skinner had approached him aggressively and that he fired what he described as warning shots; one bullet struck Skinner in the abdomen and he died at the scene. Investigators determined Skinner was unarmed and pursued warrants for felony murder and aggravated assault against Wood. Wood was taken into custody. This was the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office’s first homicide investigation of 2020.

Does anyone have information about Skinner’s movements that evening or witnessed the incident on Fox Hill Road?
