Correndrick Juvontae Alexander, a 21-year-old Black man from Hartwell, Georgia, was killed on the night of January 27, 2020, on Friendship Road in Hart County. Deputies were called to the area at about 8 p.m. and found Alexander dead at the scene. A woman, later identified as Shantiriya Oglesby, was found nearby with gunshot and stab wounds.
Authorities named Larrendrick Rashad Tabor of Hartwell as a suspect and launched an overnight manhunt that involved the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, local deputies, bloodhounds, and a state patrol helicopter. The search ended the next morning, January 28, when Tabor was arrested on Georgia Highway 172 in front of South Hart Elementary School. Early reports mentioned possible gang-related aspects and investigators were also looking into whether the shooting could be connected to a separate killing in Anderson County, South Carolina.
If anyone witnessed the events on Friendship Road that night or has information about the shooting or the people involved, please come forward to assist the ongoing inquiries.
