Wolf Valmond was 37 when he was shot and killed in the early morning hours of December 15, 2019, on Saint Simons Island, Georgia. A trainee with U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, he had recently joined the agency after serving with the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office and the Norfolk Police Department in Virginia.

Valmond was with classmates at a local bar when a dispute, reportedly over a misplaced cellphone, escalated and moved outside. According to reports, another man in the altercation, identified as Calvin Jenkins, retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and fired, striking Valmond twice. Valmond attempted to flee but died of his wounds after being taken to a nearby hospital. A 25-year-old, Naasir Kurmue, was also arrested and charged with simple battery in connection with the earlier physical altercation.

Are there witnesses or anyone who knew Wolf in training or at the bar who can add details about the sequence of events that night?
